We had a great turnout for our January meeting–thank you to everyone who joined us in person and on the conference call!
Sameer Ranade from Washington Environmental Council presented the Alliance for Jobs and Clean Energy’s carbon policy framework. Sameer’s slides are included as part of the video from the meeting. The Alliance is a broad coalition spanning not just environmental groups, but also labor leaders, businesses, and social justice organizations dedicated to reducing global warming and strengthening our economy.
We also heard updates on the 2017 Solar Bill and the upcoming Women’s March on January 21. Woodinville City Council member Paula Waters also spoke about county zoning problems that are creating runoff problems for the north end of the Snoqualmie Valley.
Going forward, we’ll continue to meet on the second Saturday of the month. Please join us on February 11 for our next meeting!
